Candidate Submission
Candidates may submit a formal application for consideration or be nominated by a standing member of the committee.

Candidates are assessed on integrity, competence, leadership, and their commitment to regional competitiveness.

The core policy team evaluates each candidate's responses to our standardized questionnaire for mission alignment.

Substantive Discussion
The Executive Committee reviews evaluation results and discusses the candidate's alignment with our smart growth mission.

Candidate Interview
Qualified candidates are invited to meet with our board to discuss their stance on innovation and smart economic growth.

Formal Committee Vote
Official endorsements require a two-thirds supermajority approval by the Executive Committee to ensure broad consensus.
